Hippos in the Park

Today Mommy took me to the Safari park. It's the park she used to take her class to. The park was pretty empty and I had it mostly to myself! Here I am deciding if I should climb up the ladder. I wasn't sure if Mommy was going to let me, but I bet I could do it if I tried! Well, Mommy wouldn't let me climb that ladder so I decided to try another one. This one looks a little easier than the last one.

This park was really cool because not only did it have ladders, but it had hippos too!! Here I am with one of the baby hippos. Doesn't this look fun? See all that blue around me...that is the water! The hippos were playing in the water!

My favorite part of the park was the canoe. I had fun trying out each part of the boat, but I loved the front. That way I could steer the boat. I hope that hippo doesn't try to jump in the boat!

The Bobbsey Twins

Today we had playgroup at Sophie's house. She has a really cool car that she gets to ride in. I had a great time sitting in it and honking the horn. I hope Mommy got the hint and gets me one soon. Here Sophie and I are sitting in the car. I don't think two people were made to sit in it!

Jaye and Mommy didn't want us playing in the bedroom anymore, so they closed the door. Needless to say, Sophie and I were not happy about this. Sophie tried to break in and I went to find reinforcements!

After the car incident we were able to run around in the hall. I hope we didn't disturb Sophie's neighbors because we were laughing a lot and I even banged on a door or two.

After we came back inside we decided it would be fun to rock in the chair. Well, I sat in the chair and Sophie wanted to push me! As you can see we make quite a team. Our mommies call us the Bobbsey Twins. I don't know who they are, but I like that nickname!

Afternoon at the Fountains

Yesterday Mommy took me to my favorite place...the fountains!! I got to go with my friend Sam! We had so much fun together! Sam brought a ball with her and I had a great time throwing it and running after it. Here Sam and I are both running after the ball.

The water from the fountains all collect down at the end and there is a pool of water that I love to play in. There were some big kids playing there and I wanted to play with them, but they didn't seem to want to play with me. Here I am watching them and hoping they will let me play with their toys.
Don't worry, I found other kids to play with. One girl even gave Sam and I her beach ball to play with. She was a really good sharer. Another boy let me play with his bucket. I loved when Mommy filled it up and poured it over my head!

Saturday in the Sun

Yesterday we went up to Connecticut to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Auntie Steph was there and all she wanted to do was take me in the pool with her. You didn't have to ask me twice! But it seemed that all she wanted to do was take pictures of me. She kept making Mommy take pictures until she got one where I was smiling. I didn't want to take pictures, I wanted to play, so needless say I am not smiling in any of the pictures with Auntie Steph.

Mommy and Daddy joined in on the fun. Mommy was practicing some of the things that we learned in swim class. Then she was playing games with me. I loved flying in the air and I kept asking Mommy for more. I guess Mommy started to get dizzy because she stopped doing it.
I also got eat ice cream again! Here I am with it all over my face!

Grandpa loves to tickle me! I had a blast as you can see!

Playgroup Pool Party

Today was playgroup day and we were so lucky because we had playgroup at Enzo's house. It was so hot out and he has a pool in his backyard. We were able to splash around and cool off. Although, I seemed to be the only one who really wanted to swim! I loved standing up and the sitting back down and making a big splash! I was getting water everywhere!

We were also able to sit and relax in the hammock. First, all of us got in the hammock, but it was too crowded. Then I went in it all by myself! I loved covering myself up with the hammock and then surprising Mommy! What a great way to spend a hot summer day!!

Beat the Heat

It was so hot today and Mommy said we need to do something to keep cool. First we went to My Gym in the nice air conditioning! I had so much fun playing with Sophie. We were running up the ramps and swinging in the double swing together.

I really liked playing hide and seek under the jungle gym. When we had separation time I did not want Mommy to leave. I kept chasing after her and then she was played the drums with me.

After My Gym we met up with Narinn, Teddy and Enzo at The Museum of Natural History water fountains. Since it was so hot, there were a lot of other kids there. I loved watching the big kids play soccer in the grass. I also liked watching the other kids spray water all over, but Mommy didn't like that too much! We all had a great time running from water spout to water spout chasing each other.

Mommy didn't like it when I tried to climb onto the steps, and I got mad when she told me that I couldn't do it! Even though I couldn't do everything I wanted I still had a great day!

The Met

Today Daddy took me to The Met. While we were walking through the park, I saw a baby crying on The Great Lawn. I went over to the fence and tried to calm the baby down by calling to her. It didn't work and then daddy told me we were going to go to the playground near the museum. I was so excited when I saw the water. All I wanted to do was run right through it but Daddy wouldn't let me! Then Daddy helped me climb on the three bears. I showed Daddy where the bear's nose and eyes were!

We finally got into the museum and I was amazed by how big it was. I really liked hearing my echo when I yelled out! Daddy took me to a room that had a lot of pillars in it. I had a great time chasing Daddy around them! Daddy would hide and then I would find him.

The best part was when I saw my reflection in some doors. I started laughing and pointing at my reflection! Then Mommy called Daddy and he got in trouble for being on the phone!! What a fun day with Daddy!!

Central Park Zoo

Mommy decided to start a blog to share what I do with everyone! Yesterday I went to the Central Park Zoo with my friend Sam. We had a good time looking at the animals. We tried to find the polar bears but they seemed to be hiding. I loved it when Mommy let me out of the stroller to walk around, but I got mad when I had to go back in my stroller because of all the people. My favorite part was watching the turtles swim in the pond!




On the way home, I started to mad and I tried to climb out of the stroller. Mommy was not happy and was trying to keep me in. She finally gave me some food and that made me calm down.


What an exciting day! I can't wait to go back...maybe the polar bears will be there next time!
