Snakes and Lizards

It was a rainy day here today so Mommy thought it would be fun to go see the Lizards and Snakes exhibit at the museum. Can you believe how big the snake above our heads is? I know this isn't real, but I saw the real one too! Can you believe that this snake is 14 feet long? It didn't do much. It just sat there and looked at me. Don't worry I wasn't scared!
A trip to the museum would not be complete without a hug between friends!

Ice Cream Snack

After my nap without a pacifier we went to the Boat Basin to celebrate Mommy and Daddy's friend Blake's birthday. I got to eat an ice cream sandwich for the first time! Even though it was delicious I wasn't really sure how to eat it and I didn't like that my fingers were getting all dirty. I decided the best approach would be to eat it without my hands and just eat with my mouth! Everyone thought it was very funny!

Bye Bye Pacifier

This morning Mommy and Daddy told me that we were going to go to the toy store to pick out a new toy. I was very excited until I found out that I would have to give up my pacifier in order to get it. However, I thought I might as well go along with this to get a new toy. While at the toy store, Mommy and Daddy thought I would like more food for my kitchen or a baby doll. I had other ideas. Once I saw this train set, I knew I had to have it!
Well Mommy and Daddy were serious about the no pacifier thing. It was a lot harder than I thought. I can't believe Mommy took a picture of me as I was waking up from nap, but this look says it all.
Once I cheered up a bit, I decided it would be fun to play with the train set.
I think Daddy had more fun playing with and building the track than I did!! Maybe this whole no pacifier thing won't be so bad. Check in with me later in the week!

Beach Fun

I have been having a great time in Florida! Who knew the sand could be so much fun! Here are some highlights of the trip so far. I really like to put my chair in the water. This way if I don't want to get too wet, only my feet are in the water! However, I love when Daddy takes me in the water and I get to kick my feet around!
I am also enjoying collecting shells and putting them in my bucket. I even found a sand dollar!
Today, Papa dug a hole and kept filling it up with water. I had such a great time splashing around in it! I couldn't believe that Papa, Auntie and Effie would go back and forth to the ocean so many times to fill up the hole!
Mima bought me a kite and we tried it out today. Here I am trying to help Daddy get it up in the air.
Everyday after the beach, I get to go to the pool. Here I am practicing all of my skills from swim class. My favorite is to do "Humpty, Dumpty" on the side of the pool.
Mommy made us pose for pictures again. I actually cooperated this time and gave her a good smile!

Fun in the Sun

I have been enjoying the sun in Florida for the past few days so I thought I would let you know what I have been up to! It started off on the plane where I got to watch Elmo with headphones on! When I got to the beach I discovered that I really liked the sand. Now if you have read my blog before you know that this didn't happen the last time we were here.
Mommy and Daddy couldn't believe their eyes. I was actually sitting in the sand and having a wonderful time!!

Daddy helped me make a sandcastle. Mommy doesn't really like playing in the sand so this was Daddy/daughter project!
Here is another picture of me playing with my sandtoys.

I even got to eat my fruit bar on the beach!

I also love drinking water out of any container that is not my water cup...I am such a big girl! I will keep you updated on our trip!!

Easter Fun

The Easter Bunny found his way to Mima and Papa's house and boy did I luck out! Not only did I get a basket from him, but Mima and Papa gave me one too! The Easter Bunny must have known that I recently discovered that I love M&M's, because he put them in the eggs that were in my basket.
I also got to open some birthday presents! It is great having a birthday right near Easter!

Mommy and Daddy tried to get a family picture but I was covering my face. What? Do I always have to pose when they want me to?
It was such a nice day out that I got to go outside. While Papa wasn't looking, I decided to pick the flowers. Shh! Don't tell him!

I got to try my first Jelly Belly today. Once I had a taste, I didn't want to stop. I got Auntie to give me some of hers! I knew I could get what I wanted from her!
I also got to celebrate my birthday again! Effie got me another Crumbs cupcake and I thoroughly enjoyed eating it! A girl could get used to this!
Because of all of the sugar I had today the party continued in the car with Abby and Laura. Laura loves to sing and we were all dancing!

Happy Birthday Emmie

Today is my birthday! It was such a great day! The fun started with meeting Sophie to go to My Gym. We got to walk hand in hand down the street! My favorite part of My Gym is going down all of the slides. Here I am getting ready to go down my favorite one.

After My Gym, Mommy and Daddy took me to lunch for pizza. I don't eat pizza so I was happy to eat my yogurt, strawberries and bunnies!

On our way back from lunch, we stopped at Shake Shack to get one of their famous shakes. If you read the blog often you know that I love these shakes!!

When I saw Sophie, she got me a birthday surprise...an Elmo balloon with my name on it! I am so lucky to have a friend like her! Thanks Sophie!

After my nap, Grandma came to visit and we went to park and met up with Sophie. She was nice enough to share her chalk with me and we had a great time drawing on the ground! I loved how it turned my hands blue!!

After dinner I got another treat! Mommy and Daddy got me a Crumbs cupcake with M&M's on it! It tasted delicious! What a wonderful day!!

Dying Eggs

Mommy told me that we were going to dye eggs today. I wasn't quite sure what that was but it sounded fun! The first thing we had to do was add the color tablets to the water. Even though it looks easy, this was the second time I tried it. The first time I spilled the water all over myself! Mommy didn't think it was as funny as I did! After I put the tablet in, I got to stir it with a spoon.
These are all of the pretty colors that we made!
It was a little hard to use the spoon to put the egg in the water, so Mommy let me drop the egg in all by myself. It took a couple of eggs before I got the hang of it and didn't get the water all over me like I did in this picture. If you look closely, you can see that I got it on my nose as well!
The hardest part was waiting for the eggs to dry.
Here I am very proud of the final product!

Party Time

Today was my birthday party! I have been so excited and the day finally arrived! I had to make sure I looked nice when all of my friends came so I took the time right before to comb my hair! The party started and we were able to play on so many different things. I really liked going up the stairs and down the parachute slide. I did this so many times, I even felt comfortable enough to put my hands in the air.
My favorite thing to do was go on the trampoline. I got to play with all of my friends on it. Don't let this picture fool you, I fell on purpose and had a blast doing it!
The party leaders wanted all of the kids to get together and take a picture. That sounds good in theory, but I did not want to stop playing. I gave Mommy and Daddy a very hard time and ultimately, I won! We did not take the picture.
I also didn't want to participate in the circle time songs, but Auntie, Dimitri and Effie were happy to take my place. Don't they look like they are having a great time?
The bubbles brought me back to the circle. I love them so much, I was even trying to eat them!
After we played, it was cake time! I was shocked at how big the cake was! I also liked looking at the candles!
Here I am with Mommy and Daddy!
After we got home, I was so sad that my party was over, but I was so happy when Mommy showed me all of my presents! I had a great time opening up all of the presents! I am so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends! Thank you for making my birthday party great!
