Doctor's Visit

Today I had to go to the doctor's office for my 18 month check up. I do not like going there but I always have a good time in the waiting room. I even said hi to the doctor when I saw him! The house is my favorite thing to play in while I am there. Then my name was called and I was not happy. That means I have to go in the exam room and get my shots.
I knew what was going to happen as soon as the doctor came in, so I tried to make my escape before he came in. Too bad I couldn't reach the door knob. I guess I was stuck.

Well, I got two shots and boy did they hurt, but Mommy took me to the park after to cheer me up. It worked! I had a great time on the swings and slide!

My Gym

It is Monday which means that I got to go to My Gym today! I decided that I was going to try some things that I don't normally do. The first thing I did was hang on the bars. Mommy always tries to get me to do this, but I never want to. I don't know why...it was more fun than my face makes it out to be and I didn't even leave the ground. Now, I have been on the trampoline before, but Mommy usually joins me and jumps on it. This time I was all by myself and I had to bounce on it all on my own. Boy that was fun!! For my next stunt I used this ramp as a diving board. I didn't really dive into the ball pit but I did jump right in. Although I didn't want to play in the balls for very long
My favorite part of the whole class is when they bring the swings out. I got a little crazy today and as soon as I saw the swings being brought out of the closet I ran over to them and threw a little tantrum until I was able to get in. In this picture the tantrum is obviously over and I am having a great time!
This is a new activity. As you can tell by the look on my face, I was not sure if I was going to like it. However, as soon as I got to the bottom, I wanted to do it again!

At the very end of class, there is a part called separation time. I don't like this part because this is the part when Mommy leaves the room. I usually don't let Mommy go too far but I do have fun playing with my friends in the class!

Applepicking

Today Mommy and Daddy took me applepicking. They said that we went to the same farm last year, but I don't remember. Here Daddy and I are waiting in line to get tickets to go on the hayride. The whole time we were waiting in line Mommy and Daddy kept telling me that we were going to get apples. We finally get off the hayride and all I see are these orange things. These are NOT apples. I was very disappointed. I kept hoping that we would get to the apples soon.

I am so excited in this picture because as you can see, we are finally in the apple orchard. I could not believe how many apples there were. Okay, I am not going to lie, this is not my first apple of the day and it certainly wasn't my last. I actually ate about six apples. I couldn't help myself...they were so good and they were all around me. I ended up regretting that decision. My tummy didn't feel too well later in the day.

Here Daddy is helping me get my next apple. Good thing he was there because I would not have been able to reach them on my own.

Daddy and I sharing the fruits of our labor.

So I found out that those orange things were called pumpkins. After picking apples, we went back to the pumpkin patch and I had a much better time after getting to eat some apples. They are the perfect height to sit on and I was tired from picking all of the apples.

Just as we were going to get back on the hayride, I noticed an entire crate filled with apples. I got so excited, but Mommy and Daddy said that we already had enough apples.

I also got to pretend that I was a goblin! What a fun day!

Celebration in the Park

Yesterday I met all of my friends in the park for a celebration. Mommy told me that Enzo is going to be a big brother and all of the mommies were so excited. We were not sure what was going on...we were all just concerned about our strollers and who was pushing them! This is not my stroller, it is Leo's but why would I want to push my own stroller?
I love drinking water and I especially love it when Mommy gets me a big girl bottle!

Narinn and I are still trying to figure out why the mommies are eating cupcakes and talking about babies? We were just happy that they let us in on the cupcakes...boy those were good!!

While we were in the park, I decided to take the opportunity to practicing my golf swing. Here I am channeling Tiger Woods. Watch out...you are going to see me on the next PGA tour!

Mommy did not like that I kept getting into Leo and Gemma's strollers. I think I might know why...when she puts me in my stroller I never want to stay in it. I cry a lot and try to squirm my way out. But what she doesn't know is that it so much better when you can just climb in and out whenever you want. Parents just don't understand!!

Sunday in the Suburbs

On Sunday, we went to visit Mima and Papa. While I was playing in the kitchen I found Papa's shoes and thought it would be fun to try them on! I couldn't really go anywhere because they are so big and I had to hold onto the wall so that I wouldn't fall, but it made everyone laugh so it was worth it! I really like going in the pool when I visit, but Mommy and Daddy said it was too cold. I am a city girl, I could have taken it! I also didn't think that it was fair that I had to stay inside and could only look at the pool from the window. I hope the spring comes soon so I can go in the pool again.
Here is a nice picture of me and Papa.

Another one of my favorite things to do is climb the stairs. That is becoming too easy so I decided to go up the stairs while holding my piano. It was harder than I thought and I didn't make it much farther than this.

After all of the fun and the fact that I didn't nap all day, I pretty much fell asleep as soon as we got in the car. However, I wouldn't let go of my crackers!

Friday Fun

Mommy got a package in the mail today and I got to play with the box! Sometimes I find boxes more fun than my actual toys. Here I am checking out the box before making my move. After examining the box I decided to get into it.

I had such a fun time standing inside the box! Why don't they sell these in toy stores?

Later in the day, Mommy took me to the park. Then we were going to meet up with Daddy after work. Sometimes I don't like staying on the swings for long, but today all I wanted to do was go on the swings. Doesn't this look like fun?

I was having so much fun that I even asked Mommy to get me my Elmo book. Doesn't everyone read Elmo while swinging?

On the way to meet Daddy I saw these great rocks. I thought that it might be fun to climb the rocks. Mommy was letting me get farther and farther away. I thought that she was going to let me do it. Unfortunately, right after this picture was taken, Mommy came and took me away from the rocks. Maybe next time!

We finally got to Sheep's Meadow where we were meeting Daddy. Mommy and I played in the grass until he got there. What a great day!

Completing a Masterpiece

I had such a treat today! Mommy let me play with crayons! She laid out a big piece of paper on the floor and let me color. At first I didn't really know what to and I was just picking them up and holding them! Then I decided that maybe I should put them in my mouth. Mommy didn't like this too much.
Then Mommy showed me what to do with them. What she did made a lot more sense then what I was doing. Here I am drawing my masterpiece!

After I had been coloring for a little while Mommy said that I could try painting. I was so excited even though I wasn't sure what that meant. Mommy gave me the paintbrush. I decided that I was going to taste it. I don't think that was what I was supposed to do because Mommy rushed me into the bathroom to wipe my mouth.

After that, Mommy gave me a brush that didn't have any paint on it. I tried painting with it but when I realized that there was no paint on it I gave up.

Here is the final product. I was pretty proud of myself and so was Mommy!

Helping Mommy

Mommy and Daddy took me to the Farmer's Market this morning. Mommy said that she wanted to get some basil to make pesto sauce. I don't really know what that is, but I told Mommy that I wanted to help. First I helped Mommy pick out the basil. Here I am smelling it to make sure it was okay. Once we got home we had to wash it to make sure it was nice and clean. Here I am helping to spin the basil dry. What a cool contraption!
The next step was putting all of the basil in the food processor. Don't worry I wasn't near it when it was on! Mommy added the cheese and oil while I watched.

Finally it was done and it was time to taste it. Unfortunately, I didn't like it too much.

I think I will stick with my crackers. As you can see they make me very happy!

Another Fun Playgroup

Another week, another playgroup. This week we were at Narinn's house. What would playgroup be without a picture of Sophie and I sitting in a rocking chair. We have really got the sharing thing down! We have so much fun rocking and then pushing each other on it! Narinn had this really great firefighter hat that I had to put on! I wonder where I can get one of these?
Enzo and I had a great time pushing each other on the walker. I don't think that this is what you are supposed to do with it, but we did anyway. Here I am telling Enzo to push me again. I hope he didn't mind! Sophie, Gemma and I thought it would be fun to stand on the ledge with each. We felt like we on stage. Maybe we will start a band!!
